Who can use StelliesConnect?+
Any registered Stellenbosch University student. You sign up with your SU email (sun.ac.za, maties.sun.ac.za or students.sun.ac.za) so the community stays genuine Maties only.
Is it free?+
Yes — joining and the core features are free, and they stay free. Two optional paid plans go further: Connect! (from R12/month) raises your weekly lift and walking buddy limits and cuts the ads down, and Premium (from R29/month) removes ads entirely and adds a verified badge, featured listings and priority placement. Pay yearly and both work out cheaper.
How does the Lift Club work?+
Drivers post a ride with the route, time and price; passengers request a seat. You chat in-app to arrange the details and split the cost — no need to swap numbers.
Is it safe to meet people from the app?+
Every member is a verified SU student, and you can report or block anyone. Still, always use common sense: meet in public, share your plans with a friend, and trust your instincts.
